Is Self-Sabotage Blocking Your Success?

self sabotage blocking success

Do you need to get out of your own way? Is self-sabotage blocking your success with your health and life? Do you try too hard, try to control outcomes, and put a lot of pressure on yourself? Does it feel like no matter what you do, it’s never enough?

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Many people inadvertently sabotage themselves because they have limiting subconscious B.S. (Belief Systems), buried emotions, and energetic blocks that keep them stuck thinking about the past and/or worrying about the future. Living this way is a HUGE waste of creative power. The power to co-create the health and life you want is only available in the present. Feelings of “lack” and “never enough” create destructive patterns, such as guilt-driven overdoing, overthinking, and over-accommodating. You end up feeling exhausted on all levels. But, don’t beat yourself up. When you reach your “low-battery mode,” it’s a red flag to prioritize your self-care with the tips below.

9 Tips to Prioritize Your Self-Care

Ready to reach new levels of success and LOVE for life? If you’re feeling depleted and things aren’t flowing well, take a break and connect with yourself. Start with these 9 Tips to Prioritize Your Self-Care. These tips will help you recharge (and raise your voltage), benefit your health, expand your mind, and tap into a co-creative flow state more often. Buh-bye self-sabotage, hello success! You deserve to heal and enjoy your life to the fullest. Let’s do it!

1. Breathe Deeply

Deepening your breath is one of the best ways to instantly connect to the present, feel better, and reduce stress. Your breath is your primary source of energy — your essential life force. It helps you stay and FEEL alive. The more you breathe deeply (especially outside where there are more free electrons), the more electric juice you deliver to your electric system. This translates to better health, sleep, brain function, and more.

Breathing deeply supports emotional healing which is often the underlying healing needed.

Where you HOLD emotions (such as anxiety, depression, grief, anger, etc.) are where you block your breath and energy from flowing, creating dis-ease in your system. Shallow, short breaths reflect stress, overthinking, and fear. By being mindful of your breath, you can quickly shift your mindset and direct your energy in a more beneficial way. When your breath flows well, so does your health and life. Begin by noticing when and where you hold your breath. Take a few smooth deep belly breaths, making an audible “ahhh” on the exhale to release tension. Engage in activities that support conscious breathing such as walking and yoga.

2. Rest & Recharge

Prioritizing self-care is essential for your health and happiness. If you’re feeling depleted, you need to recharge. Permit yourself to pause, take a beat, and circle back. Put your to-do list down and say, “no” to the things you don’t want to do. Create boundaries and hold space for yourself to meditate, relax, or nap/sleep. Rest is one of the most important things you can do to recharge and support your body’s natural, innate healing abilities. Avoid sabotaging yourself by trying to “push through.” Now is the time to restore your energy and spirit. Recharging enables you to feel your best so you can give your best. AND… from a refreshed state, things flow much easier and more effortlessly. So don’t resist your rest!

3. Get Clear & Move

Creating the outcome you want starts by getting clear about WHAT you want. Ask yourself: (1) What is it that I really oh-so-badly want? and (2) What’s the best approach for me to co-create what I want? Write it down and be specific. What do you see, hear, feel, smell, taste, and sense? Clarity helps you create an intention to direct your attention and where your attention goes, your energy flows.

Still feeling stuck, stagnant or sluggish? One of the best ways to get clear is to MOVE. Get your body moving to release stagnation and increase the flow of energy, ideas, and solutions. Find movement that’s fun and engages your body in a conscious way, such as dancing, rebounding, running, walking, hiking, swimming, yoga, etc. The more you get clear and move, the quicker you’ll find your groove.

4. Get to the Root

At the root of most issues are suppressed emotions, limiting beliefs, and energy blocks. Many people focus on physical healing and get frustrated when diet and exercise fall short. The good news is there are effective methods for digging deeper. Using a blend of subconscious reprogramming (PSYCH-K) and sound therapy (Biofield Tuning), Cate helps you shift perspective, transform old b.s. (belief systems), and release buried emotions that drain you. PSYCH-K is especially beneficial for self-worth, self-love, safety, and trust issues. These areas are foundational for success. In addition, a Biofield Tuning Adrenal Rhythm Reset shifts your nervous system into a relaxed state that’s conducive for recharging and healing.

5. Connect With Nature

Bathe yourself in the vibrations and frequencies of nature. Get outside and tune into the rhythm and flow of the natural world. Soak up the sun, listen to birds, sit near moving water, forest bathe, and ground your feet on the earth. Tuning into nature connects you to the aliveness in everything which helps you tap into your true nature as part of the cosmic whole.

The illusion of separation is at the root of nearly every issue.

All is truly one… ONE light, energy, and source. Experiencing a deep and meaningful connection with yourself, others, and nature is crucial for your well-being. You are and always will be connected to everything. The whole universe is inside of you. You are a microcosm of the macrocosm. When you feel and experience this, you not only feel connected but content. Feeling content is rare in today’s world. Many people are on a constant search for something outside of themselves. Nature can help as she is our greatest source of timeless wisdom.

6. Nourish Yourself

To recharge, you want to hydrate and eat a high frequency diet. Drink plenty of fresh spring water or filtered structured water throughout your day. Don’t sabotage yourself with junk food. Strive to eat a high frequency diet that consists of fresh foods that are natural, organic, whole, and alive. These foods contain more life/light force. It’s the embodied sunlight, the electromagnetic energy that you get from food that nourishes your electric body and overall health. Think fresh fruits and vegetables grown under the sun in organic soil. Eat a rainbow of colorful, fresh, whole foods. Limit packaged foods as they contain little to no nutrients or life/light force.

7. Shift Perspective

Perspective plays a HUGE role in your enjoyment of life. Most people experience very limited perspectives due to limiting subconscious perceptions. Rather than seeing reality as it is, people often see reality through filters that support their subconscious belief systems. For example, if you have a limiting belief that you’re not wanted (perhaps you were an accidental pregnancy), then your filters will show you everything to support that belief. Even if you’re around people who want you, you won’t fully feel it fully until the block is removed.

Don’t beat yourself up if you experience this. It’s nothing personal and it’s not your fault. The good news is, there are effective solutions to stop subconscious self-sabotage and shift perspective. Using a unique blend of healing modalities, Cate guides you in clearing old b.s. (belief systems), releasing buried emotions, and changing how you think and, thus, live. Your thoughts create your reality.

Even the smallest shift in perspective can help you see the world in a whole NEW light!

8. Express Yourself IRL

Many people swallow their words and don’t say what they want. Then, they spend tons of mental energy sabotaging themselves by staying stuck on something in the past. Expressing yourself I.R.L. (in real time) is one of the best ways to stay present and maintain harmony in your life. Express yourself as soon as discomfort arises. If you’re upset with someone, find a way to diplomatically speak your truth AND allow them to do the same. Express yourself through talking, writing, singing, dancing, laughing, crying, or creating. Let things flow without attachment. Staying clear with others in each moment prevents you from lugging around a sack of uncompleted conversations that drain you. The better you’re able to express yourself, the better things flow with your health and life.

Don’t forget to express what you’re grateful for too. Gratitude is the most coherent waveform there is. If you’re feeling depressed or sad, then make a list of all the things you’re grateful for and write something new daily. This greatly benefits your vibration. Celebrate EVERY success. When your body hears you appreciate the little things, your energy opens up to even more amazing things to appreciate.

9. Surrender to the Process

Slow down and enjoy the process of life. Be playful, have fun, and laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. Watch or read funny things, hang out with friends, practice cracking yourself up, and don’t sabotage yourself by taking things too seriously. Surrender to the journey and embrace the expansive energy of possibility. Although it’s tempting to keep your kung fu grip on control, controlling comes from a lack of trust. Control drains your energy and stops the POWERFUL co-creation process.

Stop the self-sabotage cycle, get curious, and open to the infinite potential within and around you. How good could this get? Set intentions, stay present, and trust. Trusting allows you to approach decisions out of love instead of fear. Take the pressure off of having to know it all. Nothing is “good/bad.” Everything is an opportunity to learn, grow, and expand. Don’t wait to enjoy your life until some perfectly planned future. From now on, surrender to the process and commit to doing more of what you enjoy every day. The more you get out of your own way, love yourself and love your life, the more you inspire others to do the same.
