3 Tips for Effective Action Steps

During your PSYCH-K® session, I will guide you in creating effective Action Steps. As a certified PSYCH-K® Facilitator, I help you develop customized steps that are:

1. Doable

Start small and make it so easy you can’t NOT do it. Want to hike Mt. Everest? Begin with doable hikes and challenge yourself over time.

2. Enjoyable

Action Steps shouldn’t feel like additions to your "to-do list." You want to feel EXCITED about them, not guilted into doing them. Pick things you genuinely enjoy doing.

3. Specific

Get specific with what you want by providing details for achieving your goals. Want to build wealth? Start with manageable actions like setting financial goals, saving a specific amount each month, or asking your boss for a raise. Break down your larger goal into clear, actionable steps that move you closer to success.

  • Record yourself saying your new beliefs and listen to them daily to reinforce them in your subconscious.
  • Change your wallpaper on your phone or computer to remind yourself of a new belief. For example, for “I’m a happy and adventurous person,” use a picture of yourself smiling while white-water rafting.
  • Switch your ringtone to a sound that reminds you to communicate with mindfulness each time your phone rings.
  • Treat yourself to something that represents the self-love you deserve, such as a scarf, ring, crystal, or pair of slippers.
  • Create a dream board to reflect your ideal life. Journaling, visualizing, and meditating are also great tools to bring your dreams into focus.
  • Cleanse your energy by smudging yourself and your space. Cut energetic cords, write a letter to release old emotions, and burn it for closure and letting go.
  • Start a relaxing nighttime ritual with 30 minutes of gratitude journaling, restorative yoga, and meditation to set a calm, reflective tone for the evening.
